Zachary L. Weaver

FIRM FOUNDER AND SHAREHOLDER

Zach is the firm’s founder and owner. His practice focuses on solving complex disputes for individuals and companies locally and across the country. Zach has tried civil cases to verdict in state and federal court, handled and argued appeals before the South Carolina Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and served as lead counsel in probate court and bankruptcy court for his clients. Zach has been involved in settlements and verdicts in cases totaling tens of millions of dollars.

Recently, Zach was brought in a month before trial to serve as co-counsel for plaintiffs in real estate litigation. The jury awarded our clients $1.848 million based on breach of contract and fraud. Zach has also obtained multi-million dollar settlements for plaintiffs in corporate breakups and breach of contract actions, and defeated similar claims, including dismissal of a $45 million claim in federal court.

In addition to trial work, Zach has substantial experience in and out of the courtroom. He has handled cases at all stages, including pre-suit investigations and negotiations, mediation, arbitration, post-judgment issues, and appeals. Zach has defeated and obtained injunctions on behalf of clients and has successfully negotiated consent injunctions against other parties.

Zach is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation. He is also AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell and often recognized by peers as Legal Elite of the Upstate in multiple practice areas. Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters publication, has continually recognized him as a Rising Star and Super Lawyer in South Carolina.

Prior to starting Weaver Law Group, Zach worked at an AMLaw 200 law firm and was a shareholder and Business and Commercial Practice Group Co-Leader at one of South Carolina’s largest law firms.

In addition to practicing law, Zach is heavily involved in the Greenville community and the South Carolina Bar. He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville, a board member for the Greenville Bar Pro Bono Council, a former member of the SC Bar Judicial Qualification Committee and the former chair for the SC Bar’s Trial and Appellate Advocacy Council.

In his spare time, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, overanalyzing his golf game, and keeping an ‘85 Jeep CJ-7 running.
